Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in our Central Production Ktchen.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes including tray bakes and cakes, gelato ice cream, seasonal soups and stew, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals for our valued customers.
The role is usually Mon to Fri but very occasionally you may be required to work occassional weekend shifts depending on the requirements of our Cafes
Responsibilities
• Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure visual appeal and taste excellence.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support the team during busy periods, ensuring timely production of items to go out to the Cafes.
• Assist with stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• A passion for kitchen work and a willingness to learn new techniques.
