We are seeking a skilled Pivot Steer Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and load/unload materials within our warehouse and storage sites.
This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining a safe working environment.
Working afternoon shifts: Monday to Friday, 2pm start (40-Hours per week).
Pay Rate: £13 to £16 Per Hour (depending on valid certificated training and or forklift license).
Duties
• Operate Pivot Steer forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and storage areas (including freezer storage).
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against packing lists.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.
• Assist in organising the warehouse layout to optimise space and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with client deliveries as and when required.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Pivot Steer or Flexi / Bendi Forklift Operator in a similar role within a warehouse / storage facility environment.
• Familiarity with materials handling practices and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Must be eligible to work full-time permanent in the UK.
