Parcel Delivery Driver
Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for long term assignment postal and delivery driver positions.
This opportunity involves working as a key member of our team, delivering post and parcels to the community with a passion for customer service.
About the Role
• You will start your day in the local delivery office, loading the mail for your route before setting out on foot or in a provided van to complete your parcel/mail round.
• You will be equipped with a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries, taking around four hours to complete each round.
• The hand-held computer will act as your routing system, putting your round in the most economical route.
About You
• You will be upbeat and self-motivated, happy working alone or as part of a team, and enjoy interacting with customers on your round.
• You will have a strong sense of community and appreciate flexible working patterns.
• You will also be someone who likes being outdoors, regardless of the weather, and enjoys staying physically active.
Requirements
• A full UK manual driving licence is essential, with no more than six penalty points, but a clean licence is preferred.
• Some experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal.
