The courses and activities in our training program equip you with essential knowledge and job skills to prepare for certification.
• In compliance with state and federal laws, assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to gather patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• If PTCB certified, aid and mentor others in operating pharmacy systems and handling cash transactions.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and foster strong relationships with our most valued customers.

Customer Experience
• Engage with customers and patients, offering help with products and services.
• Address customer concerns and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal skills and service techniques.

Operations
• Assist, under a pharmacist's oversight, in pharmacy practice following state, federal, and company policy.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication details, verify prescriptions, and assist with scheduling and workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies concerning pharmacy errors.
• Follow guidelines for Good Faith Dispensing during prescription activities.
• Manage and record pharmacy sales, handle cash, and help customers with locating products.
• Handle calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including communication with physicians.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently and undertake clerical tasks.
• Support inventory activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy is well-stocked and orderly.
• Adhere to all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development
• Earn and hold PTCB certification through the designated training program.
• Attend manager-requested training and acquire continuing education credits.
• Stay updated with the latest healthcare and pharmacy news.

Basic Qualifications
• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
• Six months of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Prior work experience with our company is an advantage.
• Strong math skills are preferred for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Competent computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control is preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
