Social Studies Teacher

This posting is for Social Studies at the secondary level, encompassing both middle and high school.

The ideal candidate will create a classroom environment that fosters an appreciation of American ideals and cultural heritage in each student.

Additionally, they will develop proficiency in the use of social studies inquiry skills and concepts, motivating pupils to understand and exercise the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Social Studies courses.

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

• Maintain open communication with students, staff, parents, and the public.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or a related field, as well as meet the Virginia Department of Education licensure eligibility requirements to teach Social Studies.

The ideal candidate will also be eligible for, or in possession of, an appropriate Virginia teaching license.
