Recruiting Today is currently sourcing a reliable and skilled Commis Chefs in Exeter, EX1 for a busy hospitality venue in Exter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with kitchen experience who is ready to start immediately on a temporary basis, with the potential for ongoing shifts.

As Chef de Partie, you’ll take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes within your designated section to a high standard
• Follow recipes, portion control and presentation standards consistently
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe section in line with food hygiene regulations
• Support stock rotation, storage and minimising wastage
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues during service
• Assist with training and supervising Commis Chefs where required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef looking to step up
• Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
• Ability to work well under pressure during busy service
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• A positive, team-focused attitude
