As a Setting Out Engineers in Derby, DE24, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and manage construction activities
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Monitor project progress and maintain construction schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
• Manage site documentation, reports, and communication
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts efficiently
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and properly maintained
• Liaise with clients and provide regular project updates
• Enforce company policies and site rules

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineers in Derby, DE24 or similar role
• Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
• First Aid at Work certification (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills

• Experience in commercial construction projects
• Knowledge of building regulations and planning requirements
• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent
• Experience with sustainable construction practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
